With walking, cycling, mountain biking, running, sailing, canoeing and kayaking, fishing, golf and so much more right on the doorstep, whatever your passion, you’re sure to find an opportunity here. Here are just some of the things you can do within a few miles of Clyde View. (Please be aware that most of these places are currently closed and activities unavailable due to COVID-19.)

Benmore Botanic Gardens – 120-acre mountainside garden, home to a world-famous collection of plants.
Puck’s Glen – follow the Victorian walkway on a magical trail through this dramatic rocky gorge.
Argyll Forest Park – a beautiful area of craggy peaks and hidden glens, peaceful sea lochs and rushing rivers.
Castle House Museum – discover the fascinating history of Dunoon and Cowal in this small local museum.
Riverside Leisure Centre – swimming pool, health suite, gym and cafe in Dunoon.
Studio Cinema – independent two-screen cinema in Dunoon. Recently refurbished.

Activities

Boat trips, diving and rib rides from Holy Loch Marina with Wreckspedition.
Quad bike treks, clay pigeon shooting and archery at Quadmania in Blairmore.
Golf – a number of courses within 5 miles.
Fly fishing at nearby Loch Loskin and Dunoon Reservoir by permit only.

Food and Drink

In Sandbank itself, there is a shop/post office, a takeaway and the friendly Oakbank Hotel, which serves a variety of pub food. There is also a coffee shop at Holy Loch Marina, serving food throughout the day.

Dunoon offers a good choice of caf├ęs, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways.
